We offer programs to help individuals with disabilities create a life without limits—no matter their age or stage of life

Youth & Family Services

  • Camp SMILE is a residential summer camp for people ages 5-50 with disabilities. Camp SMILE's mission is to empower children and adults with disabilities to live their lives without limits by providing an inclusive summer camp experience where there is no limit to the adventure. Campers can enjoy a variety of camp activities including swimming, horseback riding, arts and crafts and zip lining. Learn more here.

  • Funded by Alabama DHR, CCEP (Childcare Enhancement with a Purpose) offers free onsite inclusion training and materials to childcare providers across the state of Alabama. CCEP utilizes experienced early childhood professionals to share simple, practical ways to work with and include children with special needs in childcare centers and family/group childcare homes. Learn more here.

  • Early Intervention (EI) is a family/caregiver training program that ensures caregivers are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to care for their child with a disability or other developmental delay. Services are provided in the child's natural environment and goals are established by the family based on their current concerns. We are one of Alabama’s largest providers of EI Services. • In partnership with Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS) and Satsuma City Schools, our Preschool provides exceptional services to approximately 25 children, with and without disabilities, each school year. Our three preschool classrooms offer a unique opportunity for children with different levels of ability and development to grow, learn, and play together. Open to ages 3-5. Learn more here.

  • Because children with disabilities are at a greater risk of being neglected and abused, UCP of Mobile, in collaboration with Children’s Trust Fund of Alabama, offers Project Aware, a multi-faceted parent education program. Learn more here.

  • All parents need time away from their children, but people who have the added pressures of parenting a child with a disability often cannot get this much-needed break. Due to the special attention that many children with disabilities require, these parents have difficulty finding qualified and affordable childcare. We offer two Respite Programs, and families can choose which program best fits their needs. Learn more here.

  • UCP of Mobile offers Occupational, Physical, and/or Speech Therapy programs to children under 6 years old. We also offer evaluations and targeted therapy to adults with disabilities. Learn more here.

Adult Services

  • We provide an Adult Day Program with the purpose of providing support and services that enhance the lives of adults with disabilities. The program promotes goals of community inclusion, expression, choices, and continued development of personal competencies. This safe, secure and engaging environment is open to individuals aged 18 and up with a broad spectrum of disabilities. Learn more here.
