A Summer of Fun, Friendship, and Independence

Each summer, UCP of Mobile’s Camp SMILE provides an unforgettable experience for more than 175 children and adults with disabilities, offering four weeks of traditional summer camp activities in an inclusive and supportive environment.

By adapting equipment and rules of play, campers have the opportunity to:

  • Swim

  • Play ball

  • Ride horses

  • Participate in outdoor adventures and activities, such as boating and archery

  • And so much more!

More Than Just a Camp

Camp SMILE is about more than physical activities—it’s a place where campers build friendships, gain independence, and connect with others who share similar life experiences. For many, it’s a rare opportunity to spend time away from their families or group homes, making it one of the most anticipated weeks of the year.

A Camp Like No Other

  • One of the few camps in the nation that welcomes campers of all abilities, regardless of the severity of their disability or financial situation

  • One-to-One Camper-to-Counselor Ratio – Ensuring individualized attention and support

  • 24/7 On-Site Medical Staff – A registered nurse and paramedic are present at all times to ensure safety and well-being
