Acquisition of Electronics Recycling Program by Ransom Ministries
We are excited to announce the acquisition of our Electronics Recycling Services program by Ransom Ministries, an organization working to break the cycle of poverty through work and faith. This move will merge the resources of UCP of Mobile’s Electronics Recycling program with those of Ransom Recycling, a Ransom Ministries program that also accepts donations of old, unwanted, broken, and outdated electronics.
Like our Electronics Recycling Program, Ransom Recycling generates self-sustaining income for Ransom Ministries to be able to accomplish its mission.
The transition will take effect on Friday, February 9, 2024.
While the acquisition ensures continuity in services, please note the immediate closure of the UCP of Mobile Electronics Recycling location at 4132-B Government Blvd. in Mobile.
For those wishing to recycle electronics, drop off items at Ransom Recycling’s location at 320 S. Craft Highway in Chickasaw or at the Mobile County Recycling Center located at 7450 Hitt Road in Mobile.
